My husband and best friend!

I can't believe that a week from today we will have been married for THREE WHOLE MONTHS! The time has seriously flown by and at the same time, it feels like we have been married forever. I hardly even remember single life... all 30 years of it! I just want everyone to know that I am married to the best husband, man and friend in the whole world! I would be completely lost and empty without you baby! I love you!

An answer to my prayers...

If any of you remember a post I had awhile ago about what in the world does Kam do to her hair while she sleeps.. today was an answer to my prayers. At night when we bath she gets some curl underneath her hair. I said to Danny the other night, I am going to put some gel in that one day and diffuse it and see what I get out of it... Well, today I did it.... It was awesome. We just shaved 15 minutes off of morning time rituals!

T is for TROUBLE!

Kambrie is all girl... for sure. Every morning while I get ready she comes in the bathroom with me and I line up the eyeshadow and blush and lipsticks on the toilet seat so that she can play with them. It keeps her very entertained and she loves to ask me where to put it. She is getting very good at remembering what it is called, how to apply it, and where it goes. Very impressive for a 2 year old! She knows that she is not allowed to play with the mascara. Well, the other morning, I had Kam and Kadee all ready for school. Hair and dressed. I didn't realize what I had done when I walked into our room to get dressed. I heard Kadee come downstairs and go into the bathroom with Kam. I didn't think to much of it until when I got my clothes on and it was getting VERY quiet in the bathroom. I walked in and this is what the TWO of them together had gotten into...

They talked me into it!!!

Well, I never thought by the end of last summer that you would catch me DEAD doing this, but yes, my family and the nagging feeling inside of me have convinced me to finally work one day a week in COaLvIllE. Yes, that is right all of you blog readers, Danny and I will once again be going to Hairwaves on Sunday nights to load up all of my "stuff" and haul it to coalville to cut some hair and do some nails. I seriously put this off for so long, but now that I have decided to do it I will have to admit that honestly I am really excited about it. I went to the salon in Coalville, Bellas, to pick up my key yesterday and I got really excited. I never thought I would do that salon on wheels thing again, but here it goes. I am already getting appointments and everyone is getting really excited about me coming, so it makes me happy to do it. I love my job and I think it will be fun to catch up with some people I hardly ever get to see anymore. Maybe it will even open the doors that we need to get us back up to that area. I am homesick to live there... which is yet another thing I never in a bazillion years thought I would do. Wow, how things change huh. So, boys and girls, pass the word along. I am going to be working on Mondays in Coalville. 9-5 or however early or late I need to be there. I will be doing hair and nails. You can call my cell to schedule an appt. 435-512-0856. Free advertising on the blog... that's the bomb.com! :)

oUr NeW bAbY!

We took a road trip to St. George a month ago and space was a serious issue. We had bags and pillows and movies all stuffed under our feet. It was a very very close and cozy drive. We decided that we really needed some more room. After our research and alot of looking, Danny bought me a new car yesterday! It is a Honda Pilot and I love it. He takes such good care of us. It is sooo nice and I really feel the mom part now. I decided that when you get a vehicle with a DVD player that folds down from the ceiling... you are officially a mom. So, here I am, DVD player and all. Now let's fill up the rest of those seats!

Griswald Family Christmas

My husband is seriously the best sport in the world. As you all know I LOVE Christmas! I just can't get enough of it. I came home from work on the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving and Danny was headed to Smiths to work for his few hours... I thought to myself, this would be the perfect night to put up the tree and get Christmas going... I asked him if he would be completely upset if I started a few days early. So, out came all of the boxes and when he came home 3 hours later... TADA Christmas was here! So, I had been giving him a pep talk for weeks about putting Christmas lights on the house outside. I had asked him if he would do it for us on Friday morning so that we could turn them on Friday night. At 8 am on Friday he ventured outside to put them up. The girls and I put a little tree in their room and helped me decorate it and we got the house all cleaned up. By the time it was almost noon and I hadn't seen him back in the house yet, I decided to go see if I could bring him anything... and this is what I found...
I seriously laughed my buns off. Him outside with his Russian hat on, Smiths apron to hold the clips and a pencil behind his ear. I thought it was so cute and I had to take a picture of it! Thanks baby for being such a good sport and going along with my craziness! THE LIGHTS LOOK AWESOME!

Christmas Paints!

So over the summer I lived with a girl named Michelle and when I was moving out, she gave me this big bag full of crafty stuff, old school crafty stuff. She told me that the girls would love to play with it. Well, when we moved into the house I will admit that I hid it downstairs in the computer room thinking I was not sure when I would get the energy to have a craft day with the girls. A few weeks ago, Kadee was downstairs watching a movie on Danny's Mac so we could watch a football game upstairs and when I came down to check on her she had found the "bag of crafts". So, I eventually ended up promising her that we would do them on Friday afternoon because she didn't have school... It actually ended up fun for all of us, and the paint didn't ruin anything, so all in all... great activity. And the girls ate it up! This is Kambrie painting on her snowman... She could have done that for hours. She loves tedious stuff. It is so funny for a two year old! I walked in on her singing "Where are you Christmas" and I couldn't help myself, I had to get some of it on video. Man kids are the best!

cUte gIrLs!

Here are some pics from this last week of fun... Sorry, kinda a collage today.
Kambrie completely exhausted from the sun, football, and the crash after all the pixie stix. We went to the North Summit High School football game last Sat afternoon. They played for the State Champs and won by 3 points in the last 2.2 seconds! We painted the girls faces and fed them TONS of sugar and they loved every minute of it. They had fun playing with cousins mostly. Man, for as long as it has been since I have sung the NSHS school song, I sure got into that game. GO BRAVES!
This is Kambrie after playing in my makeup bag... man does she LOVE the eyeshadow. Now this has become a daily ritual, after I get done, I pass the few things she can play with onto her. She is definitely ALL girl!
Kadee got some hammy downs from Sadie for winter. Man did we welcome the longer pants and some sweaters!
And last but not least... not really sure. It was on my camera today when I loaded pics. I left Danny and the girls home on Wednesday night for a bit while I went with my sister in law to get waxed... guess this is how Danny entertained the girls! LOL.

Don't Tattle!!!

Well hello blogging world. Today is a momentous day, I Danny Aguirre have finally started to add to our family blog. I guess I am now an official Blogger. Well something very funny happened this morning. The reports have been coming in. 'Kadee pushed me!' 'Kambrie is pulling that out!' 'kadee is playing in the blinds' 'kambrie took my toy!' But today we hit an all time low. This morning when the girls came down to get in bed with us for a minute before we get up, they began to play and Kambrie ended up on the floor. Well of course we got some whining and a couple of tears and 'Kadee pushed me!' 'No I didn't, Kambrie tripped!' Well turns out Kambrie agreed and she just fell down. Upon that discovery, 'see Kambrie told a LIE!!!' so the tattle discussion started by us saying 'please don't tattle.' and shortly thereafter we get 'I'm not tattling, Kadee is tattling!' and Jen and I just bust up laughing. I guess when your two you don't really understand the meaning of the pot calling the kettle black. So instead of trying to explain the flaws of her statement to her, we just laughed and chalked it up to a blogging moment that we wanted to share. See no secrets here at the Aguirre house. But for the records Kambrie spilled the popcorn last night.

Early Thanksgiving with Grandpa Boyter

Last weekend we went down to St. George and spent a few days. We went to Enterprise on Saturday to have Thanksgiving dinner with Grandpa Boyter and also to celebrate his 81st birthday. It was so fun. It was my first time meeting him and I fell in love with him. He is so dang cute. I am so glad we went.

The girls getting balloons twisted into flowers... they ate that up!

Kambrie sneaking olives from the veggie tray before dinner... she is so funny!

Mom Aguirre and Aunt Judy... the cooks! And was it ever gooood!

All of the great grand kids waiting to sing Happy Birthday to Grandpa Boyter!

Also, Nic, Annie, Rylie, and Teena ran in the St. George races... Rylie ran the 5K and the rest of the crazies ran the half marathon. We are so proud of all of you! All of the hard work and dedication paid off! And like Teena said, the pain will go away but the glory of the accomplishment won't! GOOD JOB GUYS!

Are you kidding me?

Ok so I am seriously really starting to wonder what in the world Kambrie does in her sleep. Seriously how does this happen... we take baths every night before bed and this is how her hair is when she wakes up... DO NOT GET IT!!!

This is how Kadee looks when she gets up... just normal bed head. Not the rats nest that Kam somehow twists her hair into!

Yeah Snow!

Well the first snowfall of the season and the girls ate it up... The second I picked Kadee up from school all she could talk about was going home and playing in it. Kam was so funny. She was having a really hard time staying on her feet. Oh do they keep me entertained!

Happy Halloween!

Well, Halloween was so much fun. It was so great to see the girls all dressed up in their costumes. Kadee had a Halloween parade at school early Friday morning. This is her dressed as a Kitty. (I thought my camera was on picture but it was video- bless my heart) Kambrie dressed up as a Witch... or Weatch as she would say. They looked so cute!

The girls spent the day with their mom and then came with us at night. We hung out at the trunk or treat for a bit, then to Nana and Papa's to get their special bags Nana made them, and then home for dinner and to watch the long awaited Tinkerbell that Grandma Terry and Papa Carl sent. Thanks so much everyone! We went to bed with good dreams from the movie and stomach aches from all the candy! It was such a fun day!

Patriotism

Our little Kadee has learned sooo much already in Kindergarten. Even this morning she came and crawled into bed with Danny and I and said hey I can count to 20 in Spanish. Then she rattled them off... uno, dos, tres, ect. I couldn't believe it, although I could understand it because if any of you have forgotten, I was the FOREIGN LANGUAGE STERLING SCHOLAR which coming from a school like North Summit High, is a BIG deal! :) Just kidding, this entry is really about how smart my daughter is, I picked her up from school on Wednesday and she had learned the pledge, yep that very day, and she rattled it off pretty much perfect. WOW, was I impressed! Good Job SIS! Here is a video of her doing it for me later that night.. it is a little dark but you get the point of just how awesome she does it!

Family night!!!

I had the brilliant idea for family night this week that we would carve pumpkins and get all ready for Halloween. After dinner we headed outside to get the pumpkins off the front porch. We got them a few weeks ago, but because of warm weather we waited to carve them. The girls pumpkins were really small, to small to carve, so they painted them... with q tips cause I couldn't find any paint brushes small enough. (My craft room still isn't to organized) After Danny cut the "lid" off of his pumpkin, I decided not to carve mine, that I would just leave it sitting on the front porch and then we could just use it as a fall decoration... until Thanksgiving. It looked REALLY messy... Somehow, Danny got me to try to dig out the guts and so I ended up getting dirty too, but it was so much fun! After we got done and took baths for bed the bathtub was covered in little pieces of paint we washed off the girls. They ate it up and have asked me every single day since if we can paint pumpkins again today. Danny made his pumpkin into a hillbillie. It was fun. The girls thought it was awesome when we put them on the porch and lit up the "jack o lantern". Oh memories!

wiLd NigHts

Yes, being married has brought some very wild and interesting, when I say that I mean give you the giggles until you can hardly breathe, nights. No, get your mind away from there, that is not what I am talking about... I am talking about the fact that my husband talks in his sleep... so so so so so much and it make ABSOLUTELY no sense. It is hilarious. I lay there with the giggles all by myself trying to make sure I remember every bit of it to tell him the next morning. It all became clear to me a few weeks before we were to be married. One night Danny had fallen asleep on the living room floor at out new house. When I told him to wake up and go home so I could go to bed, he said, "and that is why they close the caskets before they move them." I replied, what? And then he woke himself up enough to know what he just said. I laughed until I thought I would pee my pants. A few nights later, he said and that is why I wear pajama pants, I just don't trust myself. (I am actually laughing so hard trying to write this) It is sooo freakin funny. On our wedding night we were going to sleep and I could tell he was about completely asleep. He said something totally crazy and when I asked him what, he said HEY I know what I am talking about, it isn't funny. Totally so hostile... I was trying so hard to not laugh. And that was the beginning of many many hilarious nights to come. The other night he sat straight up in bed and busted out singing when the saints come marching in. Hilarious. Thursday night, Kambrie woke up crying. When I ran upstairs to see what she needed, it was a drink of water. I walked into the kitchen and there was Danny, in his g's. He asked what she needed and I said a drink, he walked into the bathroom. I gave Kam her drink and stopped by the bathroom to tell him I was going back down to bed. He said ok and came back to bed after me. The next morning he said wow, the girls didn't wake up at all last night... Hello! How do you not remember that?!? Saturday night, I needed a drink at around 2:30. We have one on the nightstand which is on his side of the bed. When I asked him to hand it to me, he looked me dead in the eyes and said, you have 9 seconds... Reached for it, couldn't get it, and rolled over and went back to sleep. I got up, walked around the bed, and took a drink. Next morning nothin. He remembers nothin. It is so funny. As normal as it is becoming, it is still so funny. Thanks for making me laugh ALL of the time baby. Let's hope our kids don't inherit that and let's pray that it doesn't rub off on me or we will definitely be the crazy people that were out mowing our lawn in the middle of the night in our garmets!

Masquerade Ball 2008

Well, here it is, time for the second annual Masquerade Ball hosted by the Plummers. It was a blast. When the invitations came in the mail, I never in a million bazillion years thought that Danny would dress up in tights and go, but HE DID!!! He was such a good sport and we had so much fun! We went as the Count and Countess of Coolness!

Thanks for being such a great date babe and I think actually enjoying yourself. What a great way to spend our one month anniversary! I love you!

Renew the ZOO!

So two weeks ago we went to the Zoo for a little family outing during UEA weekend. The girls had a blast and it was actually really fun. We bought a season pass this year. That way you don't have to go to the zoo and spend a FULL day which can seem like an eternity. This way, you go for an hour or two, see what you wanna see, and come home for naps. It is great! We went later in the day and then dad took us out for dinner at Burger King and then home to watch a movie and pop popcorn. What a fun filled family day on our ling weekend!

suGar CooKie MaGic and MAJOR MESSES!!!

Well here it is, that time of year when making sugar cookies in the shape of pumpkins and ghosts is so much fun... and the best part... the decorating. Here are the girls and I on our attempt to do such a rewarding activity...

When all the chocolate chips ad been eaten by Kambrie and the sprinkles had bee piled high on all of Kadee's cookies... we decided to call it a day. Out came the broom and mop and even a change of clothes for the girls. Kam had frosting up her nose hole...

That is what memories are made of though right? I wouldn't trade those dirty little hands and faces for anything!

Our HONEYMOON in PARADISE!!!

Well here it is as promised... Pics from our honeymoon in Hawaii!

This is us waiting to board the plane to get outta here!

Sunday morning in Maui. The banana tree outside our condo... on our way to the beach.
Danny checkin out the snorkel gear while I lounged on the sand.
Sunday afternoon we drove to Lahina and walked around and had dinner on the beach at Bubba Gumps
Our attempt to see the sunset
in Lahinia... we missed it.Danny posing at bubba gumps on the famous bench in the shoes... laughed our bums off.

Monday morning we decided to get up at 2:30 am and drive to the top of the volcano... we could not even begin to say the name... and watch the sunrise. It was so freaking cold and we had nothing warm to wear. I about froze my kahooties off!
finally here it comes...

It ended up being absolutely beautiful! I am so glad we did it!

Monday morning after getting back from the sunrise and a little r and r, we drove the famous Hana Highway... it was so much fun. We took a picnic and our snorkel stuff and stopped along the way to play in the water and eat and just enjoy beautiful Maui!

These are just some of the water falls and places that we were able to stop at on our 5 hour drive around the island!

Tuesday morning we took surfing lessons... we have pics of it but I don't have them on my computer yet... and it was so much fun. Danny seriously kicked butt, me on the other hand... I surfed to the shore only three times in the two hour lesson, but hey, I think my arms got a little stronger from paddling out!

Tuesday night was our last in Maui so we got dressed up and went to a nice dinner... It was fun and way way good! It is really hard to find somewhere without all seafood in Hawaii, but somehow we finally hit the jackpot!

Wednesday was a travel day for us... our little hop to Oahu. We got to Oahu around 4:30 and then we just walked the streets by the beach and did some shopping. We had dinner on the beach at Burger in Paradise and went back to the hotel!!!

Thursday morning we went to the North Shore and went and did a session at the temple... then we spent the day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was a blast. We bought us some Hawaii gear while street walking Wednesday night and wore it to the temple on Thursday... How cute is my new dress? And not very often do you see a Hawaiian mens shirt that isn't cheesy but I really liked this one we found Danny.

Us at the temple on Oahu after our session... That temple is BEAUTIFUL!

Another pic in front of the temple...

The boats at the Polynesian center... Danny REALLY liked the girls in the yellow dresses... they could definitely swing those hips

On Friday we went to Pearl Harbor... This is us out on the USS Arizona. It is such an amazing sacred place... very cool feeling there.

We went to this little hole in the wall place on the side of the road to find some lunch... it was actually AWESOME pizza. We loved it. PS. Check out the disease on my mouth. Guess there was way too much kissing, pineapple and sunshine going on. Danny still kissed me even though my lip was grosser than gross! Man, he MUST love me!

We took a tour of the Bowfin submarine... it was way fun. This is us driving it and the one below is Danny sleeping in the bunks!

This is us at the USS Missouri. It was awesome. It is the ship where the papers were signed that ended WW2.

And last but very not least... the one and only sunset we were able to actually see happen in Hawaii. We missed it every single night. I told Danny we absolutely could not miss it the last night. He drove all over creation trying to find me the perfect spot to watch it. This was a naval pier we ended up stopping on. It was beautiful!

Aloha Hawaii... thank you for treating us so well and we can't wait to visit you again!

And thanks to you babe for taking me somewhere I had always wanted to go... especially for our honeymoon. I can't wait to share it with you again someday! I love you!
